Season 3 is over and all related items and challenges are no longer available. If you haven’t done everything, don’t worry, Season 4 has already started and as in the previous seasons, this time again you will have the opportunity to earn lots of cosmetic rewards for leveling your Fortnite Season 4: Battle Pass.
But there are not only new rewards, also the game itself has changed a lot. The burning comet that has long puzzled the fan community reveals its secret and changes the look of the map. Season 4 started on May 1, 2018, runs until July 9, 2018 and follows on from the third part.

Fortnite: Season 4 Rewards – Skins, Outfits, Gliders and more
When you buy Battle Pass for Season 4, you can unlock the first big batch of rewards in-game. These include:
- Carbide Outfit
- Battlehawk Outfit
- 50% bonus experience points for Season Match
- 10% bonus experience points for Season Friend Match
- Access to the Weekly Challenges

- Access to carbide challenges
Many more rewards will be added as you play during the season and unlock new levels of your Fortnite battle pass. Of course, this includes lots of new skins and outfits, gliders, pickaxes, backpacks and more.
Fortnite: Season 4 – The new challenges
With Season 4, there’s also been some change in the challenges you can take on in Fortnite.
- Weekly challenges
The traditional weekly tasks must not be missed under any circumstances. Basically, there are no changes here either: Each week there are seven new tasks that you can complete at any time throughout the season.
- Free Pass Challenges
At the start of the new season, there are seven new challenges, especially for beginners. These challenges are open to all players, including those without a Battle Pass.
- Blockbuster Challenges
This kind of challenge is new. The blockbuster challenges can be seen as a long-term job that you’ll be working towards throughout the season. To complete them, you must complete the weekly challenges each week. So for seven weeks, in return, you will be rewarded with a legendary outfit.
- Carbide Challenges
The Carbide Challenge is also New and also a long-term activity that rewards you when you reach certain levels in your Battle Pass. The challenge is divided into five separate tasks, each of which requires you to reach a specific level. As a reward, you will receive pieces for a special outfit and a matching pickaxe.
Once you have reached level 65, the last item of clothing is yours and you have access to the complete outfit. The cool pickaxe already exists, from three of the five challenges.
Fortnite: Season 4 Map – map changes by comets
Season 4 finally solves the mystery of the comet that was visible above the Tilted Towers for a long time. It is actually connected to the start of Fortnite Season 4 and is the reason for the changes to the map and the game, so to speak.
As you will notice in the game, the landscape has been greatly altered by the fragments of the huge meteorite. The Tilted Towers were spared from the impact, but Dusty Depot was directly affected. All that is left is a huge crater that has now been renamed Dusty Divot.
If you fly your glider over the region, you will come across a small research center in the middle. The same examine the glowing stones. Collecting one of these stones will put you in a state of weightlessness that will allow you to jump higher and immunize you from falling damage. Hence the appropriate name Jumpstones.
There is also a brand new location on the map called Risky Reels. It is located at the northeast point of the map and once had a nice drive-in cinema to offer… at least until a meteor rolls through the middle.
