When the Californian development studio Insomniac Games announced the release date of Marvel’s Spider-Man (September 7, 2018), they also included the pre-order bonus of a Spidey Suit package with three suits. So far only one of three suits were shown – Spider-Punk – the remaining two were intentionally held back to be presented later.
Infinity War comes to Marvel’s Spider-Man
Players who pre-order Marvel’s Spider-Man will receive early activation of the Marvel’s Avengers inspired Iron Spider Suit: Infinity War . The suits were made possible only through a great collaboration between Sony Interactive Entertainment, Insomniac, Marvel Games and Marvel Studios.
In addition to the red-blue Spidey costume, we will throughout the game have various suits for players inspired by comics and movies, as well as completely original suits by Insomniac and other artists. Each suit looks absolutely spectacular and has its own values, abilities and special suit power, i.e. a special attack:
- Classic Spider-Man suit – The classic red-blue suit with the black spider logo we wear at the beginning of the game
- Improved Spider-Man Suit – This suit, known from trailers, was designed by Insomniac especially for the game. We craft him during the game, his slightly different look is explained in the story.
- Spider-Punk – With the special attack of the Spider-Punk costume we release a blast wave from our electric guitar to stun several enemies
- Spider Noire – The creators keep the special attack of Spider Noire still secret
What game is Spider-Man?
Spider-Man is an action-adventure for PS4 that lets us as Spider-Man swing, climb and fight through the Open World of Manhattan. The story will be about the superhero in the red-blue suit as well as about Peter Parker and his life itself. In the game, Spidey aka Parker is already 23 years old, fresh college graduate and science novice in a laboratory. And as the friendly spider next door, he sees himself responsible for the Big Apple not falling into the power-hungry hands of bad guys.
